Steps will include scripting, drawing, animating, pacing, using audio and exporting the project for the world to see. By the time you are done with this series, you will have a strong understanding of the Flash interface, cartoon design and animation.

Drawing Your Background (2 parts)
In this lesson we design and set up an environment for our character to interact with. In Part 1 we set up the Stage and draw out the sky, hills and road. In Part 2 of designing our environment, we finish off the background by adding some clouds, a tree and a moon.

Here we learn how to create a running animation for our character. In Part 1 we setup the Stage and timeline to begin animating the character. In the second part of this lesson, we animate the armature layers to create walking cycle for our legs. In Part 3 we animate the arms to go along with the legs. Additionally, we learn how to add a bounce to the character to give the run cycle a bit more depth. In the final part of the Running Animation lesson, we put the character onto our environment and animate him running down the hill.
