Physical Features
The packaging of these two are very different as well as their carrying cases – all the rest are the same.
Note that the ES-700i is the one colored blue and white, while the ES-800M is the one colored black and gold-ish orange.
The design from jack to the flat matte cable to the earphones themselves are mostly similar. The brand placement in the mid-way are the same as well as the buds. It’s just that some portions of ES-800M is made from metal, while AWEI ES-700i is plastic all the way. ES-700i though features a microphone on the left. If it matters to you as some can think of it as minor issue, the labels of the left and right earphones are slightly hard to read since it’s only embossed in small letters. If you’re the fun and friendly type, get the ES-700i – although it sometimes look cheap. On the other hand, if you’re of a serious type, get the ES-800M, but take note it doesn’t have a microphone. Note also that both doesn’t have volume controls.
Audio Quality
After listening using bother, there is a little difference but these little things can help you on your decision. The AWEI ES-700i does it better than the ES-800M as it’s slightly louder and fiercer in a sense that the highs and lows are clear. The cymbals and snares from rock and alternative bands are richer, and the voices are more highlighted. The ES-800M is a little to heavy on the bass to the point that it sounded distorted, also the voices were slightly overshadowed.

Let’s sum it up!
The AWEI ES-700i and the ES-800M are both a good pick for their prices – but I think you should go for the ES-700i one if you’re for audio experience and functionality as it has a microphone. Maybe that’s why it took PHP80 more on the price even though it’s a lower model. But if you want to push the classier look and not to mention a better carrying case, go other wise.
Let me know your pick!
